José Antonio López is a Spanish professional who specialises in foreign olive oil trade and oleo-tourism.
He is currently employed as Export Manager in Almazaras de la Subbetica. He also leads regular oleo-tourism visits and farmer workshops.
Jose Antonio has his degrees in Business Administration and Management from the University of Cordoba (Spain) as well as a MBA degree from Jaen University (Spain) and the Business Academy Aarhus in Denmark. During his final project he focussed on the oleo tourism sector and ways producers can promote their mills to become more competitive.
After completion, he continued on to finish a doctorate thesis on Olive Oil and Commercialization Strategies, developing a comprehensive plan to help Spanish producers increase sales.
Jose now aims to be one of the best olive oil tasters in the sector and has been accepted to prestigious PDO Priego de Cordoba training group.
